Reisdetails van Mijn eerste reis
Omschrijving:
Mijn reis start 4 september, ik vlieg via Schiphol naar Londen, en van Londen naar Entebbe Uganda. Ik overnacht in Entebbe in Colonial Guesthouse. De volgende ochtend vertrek ik naar Soroti mijn eind bestemmig dit is nog 7 uur rijden, hier zal ik de komende 3 maanden verblijven.
Ik ga 3 maanden lang vrijwilligers werk doen bij Amecet.
Stukje informatie wat Amecet inhoud.
Amecet n’ainapakin betekend een Schuilplaats van vrede. Dat is wat Amecet wil zijn. Een plek voor kinderen waar ze liefde en veiligheid voelen en hierdoor weer kind kunnen zijn.
Amecet is een project van YWAM een internationale zendingsorganisatie verspreid over 180 landen. Twaalf jaar geleden is Amecet opgericht door Els van Teijlingen. Els werkte eerst met volwassen Aids patienten, maar zag steeds meer kinderen die zwaar verwaarloost werden vanwege hun HIV+ status. Dit was het begin van Amecet.
Amecet wil een schuilplaats zijn voor kinderen die voor langere of korte tijd zorg nodig hebben.
Veel kinderen hebben HIV/Aids en zijn vaak ziek en ondervoed deze kinderen komen via lokale oudsten, klinieken of het plaatselijke ziekenhuis. Familie kan de zorg niet meer aan vaak omdat ze ook nog heel veel andere kinderen hebben om voor te zorgen. Deze kinderen blijven vaak een aantal maanden in Amecet voor ze weer terug naar hun familie gaan.
Het percentage van moeder dat overlijd tijdens of vlak na de bevalling is in Uganda nog schrikbarend hoog. In veel gevallen is de achtergebleven vader of familie nog niet in staat om alleen voor zo’n kwetsbaar klein kind te zorgen. Amecet neemt de baby dan in voor een paar maanden, zodat de baby uit zijn of haar meest kwetsbare periode is en de familie/vader heeft de mogelijkheid om naar een oplossing te zoeken.
Daarnaast werk Amecet samen met de kinderbescherming. Deze kinderen zijn in Amecet met uiteenlopende redenen. Conflict na scheiding, weggelopen kinderen, mishandeling, uitbuiting etc. De kinderen blijven in Amecet totdat de kinderbescherming een besluit heeft genomen over de beste oplossing.
Gemiddeld zijn er zo’n 23 kinderen in Amecet. Maar het is niet zo dat de kinderen die weg zijn uit Amecet worden vergeten. Amecet weet dat elk kind volgens goed Afrikaans gebruik beter af is bij zijn of haar familie. Maar we blijven de kinderen nog regelmatig bezoeken in de dorpjes, om te kijken of het goed met ze gaat en of ze de medicatie wel goed krijgen.
Elke week gaan we langs in het ziekenhuis op de afdeling ondervoeding. Hier zijn er kinderen opgenomen met ernstige vormen van ondervoeding. Ze krijgen hier volgens een strak schema de voeding toegediend. We gaan elke week langs om te kijken hoe het gaat en brengen ook een extra voedselpakket mee. Ditzelfde doen we ook wekelijks in de vrouwen vleugel van de Gevangenis. Het is in Uganda gebruikelijk dat wanneer een vrouw de gevangenis in moet ze haar kind onder de 1,5 mee neemt. Ik hoef niemand te overtuigen van de ongezonde situatie voor een kind in de gevangenis. We bezoeken de moeders wekelijks en brengen ze een extra voedsel pakket.
En op nog meer manieren probeert Amecet de kinderen van Soroti te helpen. Want ieder kind is in leven en in sterven een geliefd schepsel
En hier wil ik een deel van uit maken iets terug doen voor ons medemens en ervaringen opdoen.

Reisdetails van Mijn eerste reis
Omschrijving:
Mijn reis start 4 september, ik vlieg via Schiphol naar Londen, en van Londen naar Entebbe Uganda. Ik overnacht in Entebbe in Colonial Guesthouse. De volgende ochtend vertrek ik naar Soroti mijn eind bestemmig dit is nog 7 uur rijden, hier zal ik de komende 3 maanden verblijven.
Ik ga 3 maanden lang vrijwilligers werk doen bij Amecet.
Stukje informatie wat Amecet inhoud.
Amecet n’ainapakin betekend een Schuilplaats van vrede. Dat is wat Amecet wil zijn. Een plek voor kinderen waar ze liefde en veiligheid voelen en hierdoor weer kind kunnen zijn.
Amecet is een project van YWAM een internationale zendingsorganisatie verspreid over 180 landen. Twaalf jaar geleden is Amecet opgericht door Els van Teijlingen. Els werkte eerst met volwassen Aids patienten, maar zag steeds meer kinderen die zwaar verwaarloost werden vanwege hun HIV+ status. Dit was het begin van Amecet.
Amecet wil een schuilplaats zijn voor kinderen die voor langere of korte tijd zorg nodig hebben.
Veel kinderen hebben HIV/Aids en zijn vaak ziek en ondervoed deze kinderen komen via lokale oudsten, klinieken of het plaatselijke ziekenhuis. Familie kan de zorg niet meer aan vaak omdat ze ook nog heel veel andere kinderen hebben om voor te zorgen. Deze kinderen blijven vaak een aantal maanden in Amecet voor ze weer terug naar hun familie gaan.
Het percentage van moeder dat overlijd tijdens of vlak na de bevalling is in Uganda nog schrikbarend hoog. In veel gevallen is de achtergebleven vader of familie nog niet in staat om alleen voor zo’n kwetsbaar klein kind te zorgen. Amecet neemt de baby dan in voor een paar maanden, zodat de baby uit zijn of haar meest kwetsbare periode is en de familie/vader heeft de mogelijkheid om naar een oplossing te zoeken.
Daarnaast werk Amecet samen met de kinderbescherming. Deze kinderen zijn in Amecet met uiteenlopende redenen. Conflict na scheiding, weggelopen kinderen, mishandeling, uitbuiting etc. De kinderen blijven in Amecet totdat de kinderbescherming een besluit heeft genomen over de beste oplossing.
Gemiddeld zijn er zo’n 23 kinderen in Amecet. Maar het is niet zo dat de kinderen die weg zijn uit Amecet worden vergeten. Amecet weet dat elk kind volgens goed Afrikaans gebruik beter af is bij zijn of haar familie. Maar we blijven de kinderen nog regelmatig bezoeken in de dorpjes, om te kijken of het goed met ze gaat en of ze de medicatie wel goed krijgen.
Elke week gaan we langs in het ziekenhuis op de afdeling ondervoeding. Hier zijn er kinderen opgenomen met ernstige vormen van ondervoeding. Ze krijgen hier volgens een strak schema de voeding toegediend. We gaan elke week langs om te kijken hoe het gaat en brengen ook een extra voedselpakket mee. Ditzelfde doen we ook wekelijks in de vrouwen vleugel van de Gevangenis. Het is in Uganda gebruikelijk dat wanneer een vrouw de gevangenis in moet ze haar kind onder de 1,5 mee neemt. Ik hoef niemand te overtuigen van de ongezonde situatie voor een kind in de gevangenis. We bezoeken de moeders wekelijks en brengen ze een extra voedsel pakket.
En op nog meer manieren probeert Amecet de kinderen van Soroti te helpen. Want ieder kind is in leven en in sterven een geliefd schepsel
En hier wil ik een deel van uit maken iets terug doen voor ons medemens en ervaringen opdoen.

Reisdetails van Mijn eerste reis
Omschrijving:
Mijn reis start 4 september, ik vlieg via Schiphol naar Londen, en van Londen naar Entebbe Uganda. Ik overnacht in Entebbe in Colonial Guesthouse. De volgende ochtend vertrek ik naar Soroti mijn eind bestemmig dit is nog 7 uur rijden, hier zal ik de komende 3 maanden verblijven.
Ik ga 3 maanden lang vrijwilligers werk doen bij Amecet.
Stukje informatie wat Amecet inhoud.
Amecet n’ainapakin betekend een Schuilplaats van vrede. Dat is wat Amecet wil zijn. Een plek voor kinderen waar ze liefde en veiligheid voelen en hierdoor weer kind kunnen zijn.
Amecet is een project van YWAM een internationale zendingsorganisatie verspreid over 180 landen. Twaalf jaar geleden is Amecet opgericht door Els van Teijlingen. Els werkte eerst met volwassen Aids patienten, maar zag steeds meer kinderen die zwaar verwaarloost werden vanwege hun HIV+ status. Dit was het begin van Amecet.
Amecet wil een schuilplaats zijn voor kinderen die voor langere of korte tijd zorg nodig hebben.
Veel kinderen hebben HIV/Aids en zijn vaak ziek en ondervoed deze kinderen komen via lokale oudsten, klinieken of het plaatselijke ziekenhuis. Familie kan de zorg niet meer aan vaak omdat ze ook nog heel veel andere kinderen hebben om voor te zorgen. Deze kinderen blijven vaak een aantal maanden in Amecet voor ze weer terug naar hun familie gaan.
Het percentage van moeder dat overlijd tijdens of vlak na de bevalling is in Uganda nog schrikbarend hoog. In veel gevallen is de achtergebleven vader of familie nog niet in staat om alleen voor zo’n kwetsbaar klein kind te zorgen. Amecet neemt de baby dan in voor een paar maanden, zodat de baby uit zijn of haar meest kwetsbare periode is en de familie/vader heeft de mogelijkheid om naar een oplossing te zoeken.
Daarnaast werk Amecet samen met de kinderbescherming. Deze kinderen zijn in Amecet met uiteenlopende redenen. Conflict na scheiding, weggelopen kinderen, mishandeling, uitbuiting etc. De kinderen blijven in Amecet totdat de kinderbescherming een besluit heeft genomen over de beste oplossing.
Gemiddeld zijn er zo’n 23 kinderen in Amecet. Maar het is niet zo dat de kinderen die weg zijn uit Amecet worden vergeten. Amecet weet dat elk kind volgens goed Afrikaans gebruik beter af is bij zijn of haar familie. Maar we blijven de kinderen nog regelmatig bezoeken in de dorpjes, om te kijken of het goed met ze gaat en of ze de medicatie wel goed krijgen.
Elke week gaan we langs in het ziekenhuis op de afdeling ondervoeding. Hier zijn er kinderen opgenomen met ernstige vormen van ondervoeding. Ze krijgen hier volgens een strak schema de voeding toegediend. We gaan elke week langs om te kijken hoe het gaat en brengen ook een extra voedselpakket mee. Ditzelfde doen we ook wekelijks in de vrouwen vleugel van de Gevangenis. Het is in Uganda gebruikelijk dat wanneer een vrouw de gevangenis in moet ze haar kind onder de 1,5 mee neemt. Ik hoef niemand te overtuigen van de ongezonde situatie voor een kind in de gevangenis. We bezoeken de moeders wekelijks en brengen ze een extra voedsel pakket.
En op nog meer manieren probeert Amecet de kinderen van Soroti te helpen. Want ieder kind is in leven en in sterven een geliefd schepsel
En hier wil ik een deel van uit maken iets terug doen voor ons medemens en ervaringen opdoen.

Reisdetails van Mijn eerste reis
Omschrijving:
Mijn reis start 4 september, ik vlieg via Schiphol naar Londen, en van Londen naar Entebbe Uganda. Ik overnacht in Entebbe in Colonial Guesthouse. De volgende ochtend vertrek ik naar Soroti mijn eind bestemmig dit is nog 7 uur rijden, hier zal ik de komende 3 maanden verblijven.
Ik ga 3 maanden lang vrijwilligers werk doen bij Amecet.
Stukje informatie wat Amecet inhoud.
Amecet n’ainapakin betekend een Schuilplaats van vrede. Dat is wat Amecet wil zijn. Een plek voor kinderen waar ze liefde en veiligheid voelen en hierdoor weer kind kunnen zijn.
Amecet is een project van YWAM een internationale zendingsorganisatie verspreid over 180 landen. Twaalf jaar geleden is Amecet opgericht door Els van Teijlingen. Els werkte eerst met volwassen Aids patienten, maar zag steeds meer kinderen die zwaar verwaarloost werden vanwege hun HIV+ status. Dit was het begin van Amecet.
Amecet wil een schuilplaats zijn voor kinderen die voor langere of korte tijd zorg nodig hebben.
Veel kinderen hebben HIV/Aids en zijn vaak ziek en ondervoed deze kinderen komen via lokale oudsten, klinieken of het plaatselijke ziekenhuis. Familie kan de zorg niet meer aan vaak omdat ze ook nog heel veel andere kinderen hebben om voor te zorgen. Deze kinderen blijven vaak een aantal maanden in Amecet voor ze weer terug naar hun familie gaan.
Het percentage van moeder dat overlijd tijdens of vlak na de bevalling is in Uganda nog schrikbarend hoog. In veel gevallen is de achtergebleven vader of familie nog niet in staat om alleen voor zo’n kwetsbaar klein kind te zorgen. Amecet neemt de baby dan in voor een paar maanden, zodat de baby uit zijn of haar meest kwetsbare periode is en de familie/vader heeft de mogelijkheid om naar een oplossing te zoeken.
Daarnaast werk Amecet samen met de kinderbescherming. Deze kinderen zijn in Amecet met uiteenlopende redenen. Conflict na scheiding, weggelopen kinderen, mishandeling, uitbuiting etc. De kinderen blijven in Amecet totdat de kinderbescherming een besluit heeft genomen over de beste oplossing.
Gemiddeld zijn er zo’n 23 kinderen in Amecet. Maar het is niet zo dat de kinderen die weg zijn uit Amecet worden vergeten. Amecet weet dat elk kind volgens goed Afrikaans gebruik beter af is bij zijn of haar familie. Maar we blijven de kinderen nog regelmatig bezoeken in de dorpjes, om te kijken of het goed met ze gaat en of ze de medicatie wel goed krijgen.
Elke week gaan we langs in het ziekenhuis op de afdeling ondervoeding. Hier zijn er kinderen opgenomen met ernstige vormen van ondervoeding. Ze krijgen hier volgens een strak schema de voeding toegediend. We gaan elke week langs om te kijken hoe het gaat en brengen ook een extra voedselpakket mee. Ditzelfde doen we ook wekelijks in de vrouwen vleugel van de Gevangenis. Het is in Uganda gebruikelijk dat wanneer een vrouw de gevangenis in moet ze haar kind onder de 1,5 mee neemt. Ik hoef niemand te overtuigen van de ongezonde situatie voor een kind in de gevangenis. We bezoeken de moeders wekelijks en brengen ze een extra voedsel pakket.
En op nog meer manieren probeert Amecet de kinderen van Soroti te helpen. Want ieder kind is in leven en in sterven een geliefd schepsel
En hier wil ik een deel van uit maken iets terug doen voor ons medemens en ervaringen opdoen.

[description] => Mijn reis start 4 september, ik vlieg via Schiphol naar Londen, en van Londen naar Entebbe Uganda. Ik overnacht in Entebbe in Colonial Guesthouse. De volgende ochtend vertrek ik naar Soroti mijn eind bestemmig dit is nog 7 uur rijden, hier zal ik de komende 3 maanden verblijven.
Ik ga 3 maanden lang vrijwilligers werk doen bij Amecet.
Stukje informatie wat Amecet inhoud.
Amecet n’ainapakin betekend een Schuilplaats van vrede. Dat is wat Amecet wil zijn. Een plek voor kinderen waar ze liefde en veiligheid voelen en hierdoor weer kind kunnen zijn.
Amecet is een project van YWAM een internationale zendingsorganisatie verspreid over 180 landen. Twaalf jaar geleden is Amecet opgericht door Els van Teijlingen. Els werkte eerst met volwassen Aids patienten, maar zag steeds meer kinderen die zwaar verwaarloost werden vanwege hun HIV+ status. Dit was het begin van Amecet.
Amecet wil een schuilplaats zijn voor kinderen die voor langere of korte tijd zorg nodig hebben.
Veel kinderen hebben HIV/Aids en zijn vaak ziek en ondervoed deze kinderen komen via lokale oudsten, klinieken of het plaatselijke ziekenhuis. Familie kan de zorg niet meer aan vaak omdat ze ook nog heel veel andere kinderen hebben om voor te zorgen. Deze kinderen blijven vaak een aantal maanden in Amecet voor ze weer terug naar hun familie gaan.
Het percentage van moeder dat overlijd tijdens of vlak na de bevalling is in Uganda nog schrikbarend hoog. In veel gevallen is de achtergebleven vader of familie nog niet in staat om alleen voor zo’n kwetsbaar klein kind te zorgen. Amecet neemt de baby dan in voor een paar maanden, zodat de baby uit zijn of haar meest kwetsbare periode is en de familie/vader heeft de mogelijkheid om naar een oplossing te zoeken.
Daarnaast werk Amecet samen met de kinderbescherming. Deze kinderen zijn in Amecet met uiteenlopende redenen. Conflict na scheiding, weggelopen kinderen, mishandeling, uitbuiting etc. De kinderen blijven in Amecet totdat de kinderbescherming een besluit heeft genomen over de beste oplossing.
Gemiddeld zijn er zo’n 23 kinderen in Amecet. Maar het is niet zo dat de kinderen die weg zijn uit Amecet worden vergeten. Amecet weet dat elk kind volgens goed Afrikaans gebruik beter af is bij zijn of haar familie. Maar we blijven de kinderen nog regelmatig bezoeken in de dorpjes, om te kijken of het goed met ze gaat en of ze de medicatie wel goed krijgen.
Elke week gaan we langs in het ziekenhuis op de afdeling ondervoeding. Hier zijn er kinderen opgenomen met ernstige vormen van ondervoeding. Ze krijgen hier volgens een strak schema de voeding toegediend. We gaan elke week langs om te kijken hoe het gaat en brengen ook een extra voedselpakket mee. Ditzelfde doen we ook wekelijks in de vrouwen vleugel van de Gevangenis. Het is in Uganda gebruikelijk dat wanneer een vrouw de gevangenis in moet ze haar kind onder de 1,5 mee neemt. Ik hoef niemand te overtuigen van de ongezonde situatie voor een kind in de gevangenis. We bezoeken de moeders wekelijks en brengen ze een extra voedsel pakket.
En op nog meer manieren probeert Amecet de kinderen van Soroti te helpen. Want ieder kind is in leven en in sterven een geliefd schepsel
En hier wil ik een deel van uit maken iets terug doen voor ons medemens en ervaringen opdoen.
